“I’m very keen on looking at applicants and doing everything I possibly can do with them,” says Shaun – and that’s why hot boxes are one of his favourite Reapit tools.

Within the Reapit system it just takes a few clicks to create a hot box: a list of your top applicants. Click once on your applicant box, and you can make sure you’re keeping in touch with them and helping them find the perfect property.

“I’m calling them on a regular basis, making sure I’m keeping them up to date what's happening in the property world, showing them the properties that have come to the market, and making sure that they're my first point of call whenever I have anything new, flashy and exciting,” says Shaun.

And it’s not just about chasing up the hottest applicants, it’s also about removing the ones who have gone cold. Most applicants won’t get in touch if they have found a property elsewhere, so you can end up wasting your time contacting people who aren’t in the market anymore. But with Reapit, you can see when people in your hot box last interacted with you, and prune those that haven’t been responding.

“I make sure that I’m keeping my database as tiny as possible, so I’m not wasting time,” explains Shaun.
